- Her birth record in the Register for the Western District, Monongalia County, West Virginia lists her as "Easten." The 1870 census lists her as "Ester" and the 1880 census lists her as "Hester Ann."
She later marries John PARKS and this adds more confusion - she even appears on son Frank's marriage to Thelma FOLEY as "Mary PARKS"!
