  Norman Thomas Bayard, 69, of Superior, formerly of Esko, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2016 in St. Lukes Hospital. He was born on January 21, 1947 to Kenneth Thomas and Norma Elvina (Ekeland) Bayard in Duluth, MN. Norman was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from May 1964 to August 1969 followed by the Reserves until 1974. He retired from hospital materials management at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI. Norman was instrumental in how medical supplies were managed during the Vietnam war. Norman is survived by his children, Colter Thomas Bayard and Renee Barbara (Dan) Nguyen; two grandchildren; sister Jeannie Lynn Bayard; and a special friend Joyclyn V. Higgins. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI [3]
